Grandweld Shipyards hosted the Grandweld Premier League (GPL) 2025, a cricket event that celebrated teamwork, unity, and company spirit. Employees, partners, and friends joined together for an exciting night of sports and fun in Sharjah.

The event took place at DCS You Selects Arena 3, Rahmaniyah, Sharjah. It featured 12 teams, 192 players, and 19 matches played over a thrilling 12-hour cricket marathon under the lights.

Bringing the Grandweld Family Together

The Grandweld Premier League has become a yearly highlight for the company. It gives employees a chance to connect, compete, and celebrate their shared values.

GPL 2025 was full of energy with great batting, close finishes, and friendly rivalries. Every match showed the same teamwork and dedication that Grandweld employees bring to their work every day.

The tournament was supported by more than 18 sponsors, including Allianz Middle East, Stanford Marine, Mahmood Ahmed Enterprises LLC, and Max Technical Electrical. Their support helped make the event a huge success.

Honouring Effort and Teamwork

After the tournament, Grandweld held a Greet & Meet session on 10th July 2025 at the Grandweld Office to thank all participants.
Mr. Jamal Abki, the General Manager of Grandweld Shipyards, led the session. He gave out certificates, trophies, and mementoes to the winners, runners-up, and the organising team.

Mr. Abki said, “GPL 2025 was more than just a game. It showed the teamwork and dedication that make Grandweld strong.”
